Flava It! placed 10,000 seasoning sachets in Dig In bags for Freshers 2025 and surveyed students on cooking habits, taste and intent to buy again.
The brief
Flava It! sits behind own-label, Nando’s and Maggi in students’ cupboards. It needed trial among new students setting up their first kitchens.
What we did
We put 10,000 Flava It! Garlic & Herb sachets into Dig In bags across 14 halls in five towns and cities, waiting before students’ first shop and before Freshers’ Fair. A survey covered cooking habits, where students shop, air fryer use, awareness, taste and intent to buy again.
The result
85.5%
would recommend it to a friend, flatmate or family member, n=200, Freshers 2025
73.8%
would consider choosing Flava It! instead of their usual seasoning next time, n=191, Freshers 2025
4.3 / 5
average taste rating, n=191, Freshers 2025
43.5%
had never heard of Flava It! before the campaign, n=207, Freshers 2025
What it means for brands like yours
Seasoning is a habit purchase: students reach for what they already know. Putting a sachet in the bag before the first shop gave Flava It! a place in the cupboard, and nearly half of the students surveyed were meeting the brand for the first time.
