Freshers sampling
Freshers sampling puts your product in front of first-year students in the week they arrive at university. With Dig In, it goes into the Welcome Bag waiting in their halls: 500,000 students each September, 3 in 4 freshers, across 1,000+ halls. They are in a new city, spending their own money, with few brands settled yet. Any campaign can carry a survey. Students value the bag: 88.7% of students said the bag improved their welcome (2024, n=48,991).

A razor from day one.
In September 2024 Gillette and Venus razors went into Dig In Freshers welcome boxes, so students had one from their first days at university. Each brand ran its own survey. 87.4% of students who tried Gillette were likely to buy it (n=1,703). For Venus, 90.2% were likely to buy it (n=3,530). Both are purchase intent, measured in the weeks after arrival.
